Police investigating Lexington shooting that left man with life-threatening injuries
A man suffered serious injuries Wednesday night in a shooting on Carlisle Avenue in Lexington, according to police.
The man was walking in the 100 block of Carlisle Avenue at about 10:25 p.m. when a vehicle approached and someone inside began shooting, police Lt. David Richardson said. The man who was walking was struck by gunfire and suffered life-threatening injuries.
Lexington police investigators were expected to remain at the scene on Carlisle Avenue for several hours Wednesday night.
Police do not yet have a description of the suspect or vehicle involved in the shooting, Richardson said.
