A Louisville middle school teacher and girls softball coach was arrested while allegedly seeking sex with a minor, Wednesday.

Brandon Lee Dietz, 37, was arrested by the Attorney General’s Cyber Crimes unit when he traveled to a location in Louisville to allegedly seek sex with a minor. Dietz teaches career choices and consumerism at Olmstead North Middle School, an all boys school, according to his LinkedIn page.

Dietz allegedly had an online conversation with the person he thought was a minor, where he requested images before discussing meeting up to have sex. The Attorney General’s office intercepted him the next day.

Dietz is charged with one count of seeking sex with a minor online and is being held at the Louisville Metro Corrections with a $25,000 bond.

“I appreciate the work of our cyber investigators and local and federal law enforcement officers who worked on this investigation,” said Attorney General Andy Beshear. “Removing from the streets those who seek to exploit and abuse our children is a top priority for my office, and for law enforcement agencies throughout the Commonwealth.”
