Kentucky woman who ran BDSM ‘Playhouse of Domination’ business in apartment sentenced

A Louisville woman who ran a BDSM business from an apartment she rented was sentenced to 15 years in jail last week, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Cleoretta Allen, 41, pleaded guilty in September to running the “Playhouse of Domination”, according to court records. The non-sexual BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism-submission, masochism) business eventually involved illegal prostitution services, the Justice Department said.

Between September 2017 and October 2017, Allen used violence, threats and intimidation to convince two young women to provide sexual acts to her clients in the Louisville area, according to court records. One of the victims needed medical treatment at a hospital because of Allen’s violent conduct, according to the Justice Department.

After posting sex advertisements on the internet, Allen transported two women from Kentucky to Georgia to engage in prostitution, court records show.

“Those who commit crimes of this nature lose sight of the humanity of their victims; that they are someone’s daughter, a person with dignity and value, someone’s little girl,” said Russell Coleman, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Kentucky. “As evidenced by a sentence of a decade and a half in federal prison with no parole, this foul conduct will not be tolerated in the Western District of Kentucky.”

Allen was charged in November 2017 after one of her victims called police, and Allen was indicted in April on two counts of sex trafficking and one count of interstate transportation of prostitution, according to court records.

She previously was convicted of fourth-degree assault last year in Jefferson County, court records show.

The case was investigated by the FBI, Louisville Metro Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, according to the department of justice.
