Two arrested after report of abused juvenile at Lexington hotel, police pursuit
Two men have been arrested after someone at a Lexington hotel reported that a juvenile was being abused and held against their will, according to police.
At 10:16 a.m. Wednesday, police responded to the Motel 6 on Newtown Court, police Lt. Andrew Daugherty said. The person who called in the tip to police described a vehicle pulling out of the hotel as the one carrying the juvenile, Daugherty said.
Police saw the vehicle pulling out of the hotel and pursued it before the vehicle came to a stop at West Main Street and Oliver Lewis Way, Daugherty said.
Two men were arrested and charged with fleeing and evading police, Daugherty said. One of the men had a separate warrant out for his arrest. It’s possible other charges could be filed in the case.
As of Wednesday afternoon, investigators were still working to find out what happened and could not yet release any information about whether or not a juvenile was found, Daugherty said.
