A Lexington man was arrested after police say he offered “testers” of heroin and fentanyl to customers at a McDonald’s in Madison County.

Richmond police said they were called to the McDonald’s on the Eastern Bypass Tuesday after two people called to say that two men were inside the restaurant offering them drugs, according to a uniform citation filed in Madison District Court.

When they arrived, police said the McDonald’s manager confirmed the reports and said the men were parked in a silver Kia across the street in front of the Peddler’s Mall.

Officers said they found Randolph Eason, 26, and another man in the car, and both denied having any drugs, money or guns.

Police said Eason, who had an active warrant for his arrest, tried to run from police and “actively resisted arrest by fighting with officers on the ground.”

Police said a 9 mm pistol fell out of Eason’s waistband during the struggle, and officers found cash, “a folded piece of paper containing a gray powdery substance” and “a piece of plastic containing an off-white substance” in the car.

Eason was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin), first offense, as well as resisting arrest, third-degree possession of a controlled substance and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
