Two women died after shooting at a Kentucky home where five pets were also found dead

Two women and five animals were found dead at a home in Henderson on Friday.

Jennifer Glunt, 61, and Robin Glunt, 55, died of apparent gunshot wounds, said Henderson County Coroner Bruce Farmer.

Farmer said a family member had gone to the couple’s home on the 300 block of Jackson Street Friday, and when no one answered the door, the family member looked in a window and saw someone lying on the floor.

Farmer said a family member who was able to get inside the house found the women dead in the family room.

Autopsies will be conducted Monday in Madisonville, Farmer said.

Farmer said four dogs and a cat were also found dead at the home. It was unclear how they died, he said.

He said the Henderson Police Department is investigating the case, along with his office, and authorities are still trying to piece together what led up to the shooting.

Farmer said a weapon was found at the scene.

“They had several weapons in the house,” he said.
