Man reportedly injured in Lexington shooting, woman hurt by fleeing vehicle

An investigation is underway after a man was shot in Lexington early Sunday morning and a woman was hit by a car, according to media reports.

The man was found suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking lot of an event space on North Limestone at Broadview Drive, according to WKYT, the Herald-Leader’s reporting partner.

A woman was also injured when a car fleeing the scene of the shooting hit her and did not stop, according to WKYT. Both victims were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, the news station reported.

The shooting happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday, and the shooter has not yet been identified, according to LEX 18.
