Boy abducted from Kentucky home by mother who is not legal guardian, police say

A child was abducted from his home in Pine Knot by his mother, according to Kentucky State Police.

Police began investigating after Silas Fallen, 9, went missing Sunday morning, KSP said. Briana Ylisa Giovannini, a 30-year-old Las Vegas resident, took Silas, but she’s not his legal guardian, police said.

Silas and Giovannini were last seen leaving the boy’s home in a beige van around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, police said.

Silas is described as a white male, 4-foot-4-inches tall, 60 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, police said.

The investigation is being led by KSP Post 11 in London. Anyone with information on the boy’s disappearance is asked to call (606) 878-6622.
