Investigation underway after 8-month-old Kentucky infant drowns, police say
Kentucky State Police said they are investigating after an 8-month-old drowned in Allen County Thursday afternoon.
KSP Post 3 in Bowling Green said it received a call from Allen County social services just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Personnel showed up to the Medical Center at Scottsville where the infant died, police said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning at the medical examiner’s office in Louisville, police said.
The death investigation is being led by a detective, who was assisted on scene by KSP, the Scottsville Police Department, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and Allen County Emergency Medical Services.
