Kentucky man faces child porn charges after undercover investigation, police say

A Boyle County man has been accused of having child pornography, Kentucky State Police said.

Kelly A. Cole, 25, was taken into police custody Thursday and charged with 10 counts of possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, police said.

KSP conducted an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation on Cole after he allegedly uploaded child pornography to the internet, police said.

At a home in Junction City, police executed a “knock and talk,” in which an officer asks for consent to search the residence, according to KSP.

“Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination,” police said.

An investigation into the offenses is still ongoing, police said. Cole was put in the Boyle County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond, according to the jail’s website.
