Kentucky man barricades himself in home after brother killed, police say
A Perry County man has been charged with the murder of his brother after the two were involved in an “altercation,” according to Kentucky State Police.
Douglas Noble, 52, was found unconscious on a road in Chavies late Wednesday night, according to KSP Trooper Jody Sims. Noble suffered severe injuries in an altercation with his brother, James Noble, police said.
Douglas Noble was transported to Hazard ARH Medical Center, but later died of his injuries, police said.
Sims said Douglas did not have any gunshot wounds, but it was unknown if James had used another weapon. Other details about the altercation were being investigated, he said.
KSP found James Noble at a residence on Ky. 451, police said, and attempted to arrest him. Noble barricaded himself in the residence for several hours, and the KSP Special Response Team was called in before he exited the home, police said.
Noble was arrested Thursday night, according to court records. He was charged with murder and resisting arrest.
