Lexington police seek information about crash that left a 20-year-old man dead

Lexington police are asking anyone who might have information about a fatal crash early Saturday to come forward.

The wreck, which happened at about 4:30 a.m., involved a black Jeep Cherokee that was heading west on Citation Boulevard and a black Saturn Ion that was traveling north on Georgetown Road, police said in a news release Tuesday. A 20-year-old man in the Saturn died, and one person in the Jeep was injured in the crash, according to police Sgt. Donnell Gordon.

He said the female who was driving the Jeep was charged with driving under the influence.

Police want to talk to anyone who saw the collision or who saw the vehicles that were involved in it beforehand.
