Police investigating after man dies in fifth Lexington homicide in nine days
A man was found dead in a Lexington homicide Monday night, according to the Fayette County coroner’s office.
Aaron Fox Leach, 32, died Monday night in the 1500 block of Lindy Lane off Winchester Road, according to the coroner’s office. The coroner pronounced him dead just before 8 p.m.
Officers were called to the Lindy Lane home just after 5:15 p.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found Leach unresponsive inside, according to police.
The cause of death was being investigated, the coroner said. Detectives are also investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, according to police.
Leach’s death was one of five homicides in a span of nine days, according to police data. The previous four involved teenage victims. Leach’s death was the 24th homicide in Lexington this year. There were 30 in 2019, which set a record.
