Juvenile charged with murder after Lawrenceburg adult, child found dead, police say
A juvenile suspect has been arrested and charged with the murder of an adult and child in Anderson County, Kentucky State Police said.
The arrest happened after state troopers found 33-year-old Tefani Noe and 12-year-old Brooke Goggin dead on Corinth Road in Lawrenceburg around 9:30 p.m. Thursday, according to KSP. The juvenile suspect was later found and taken into custody in Louisville, KSP said. He was charged with two counts of murder - domestic violence, according to KSP.
The suspect’s name was not released. Trooper Stuart Jackson said he couldn’t comment on whether or not the victims and suspect were related, but Kentucky state law indicates that domestic violence charges are reserved for crimes committed within a family or unmarried couple.
The Anderson News reported that Noe and Goggin were a mother and daughter, and the teen who was arrested was Noe’s son.
The teen allegedly led police on a chase through Anderson, Franklin and Shelby counties before he was stopped on the Watterson Expressway in Louisville late Thursday night, WAVE 3 News reported.
A KSP detective was investigating, KSP said.
