Updated: Trio charged after alleged rape of a minor in Richmond, police say
Three Kentucky men have been charged in connection to the sexual assault of a female juvenile, according to court records.
All three were being held Tuesday at the Madison County Detention Center.
According to court documents, the victim went to an unknown apartment on Keystone Drive in Richmond Friday evening with her sister and several other people. Upon arriving at the apartment, the victim was offered $300 by Anthony Hall, 19, to have sex with all of the men in the apartment.
The victim refused, court documents say. Hall then threatened to tase the victim if she didn’t comply, and when she refused again, Hall tased the victim’s hand.
Sometime after, the victim was sitting in a bedroom when Elijah Carter, 18, and Thomas Binford, 20, entered the room, according to court records. They allegedly turned off the lights, locked the door behind them and sexually assaulted her.
After the assault, and Carter and the victim got in a verbal altercation, according to court records. Carter allegedly loaded a rifle and pointed it at her, threatening to shoot her.
The three suspects were arrested early Saturday, according to arrest citations for both. While at the jail, Binford became irate and punched a hole in the drywall of the interview room.
Carter has been charged with first-degree rape, first-degree wanton endangerment, kidnapping and buying/possessing drug paraphernalia.
Binford has been charged with first-degree sodomy, third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
Hall has been charged with fourth-degree assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
