Lexington police investigate two overnight shootings. Two injured, including a juvenile.
A pair of shootings in Lexington Thursday evening left two people, including one juvenile, injured, according to police.
One of the shootings took place in the area of Old Higbee Mill Road and Clemens Drive at 8:48 p.m. Thursday, per police. When officers arrived, they found some shell casings and a vehicle that was struck by gunfire.
Evidence from the vehicle at the crime scene led police to find a juvenile victim from the shooting at a residence on Alpine Court just before 11 p.m., according to police. The juvenile was taken to the hospital with what were described by police as non-life-threatening injuries.
Alpine Court is located a few miles away from the scene of the shooting. Police said they have nothing specific to release to possibly explain why a victim was found at a different location hours later.
Police don’t have any suspect information to release.
The second shooting took place on the 200 block of Reynolds Road Thursday night, per police. Police received a report of someone who had been shot and upon arrival, they found an adult victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
Police said they don’t have suspect information to release.
Police don’t have any information to connect the two shootings and believe they are unconnected.
