Gunfire hits homes, car in Lexington. Minor shows up to hospital with gunshot wound

Lexington police are investigating a shooting that took place in northern Lexington Wednesday night.

A report of shots fired in the 400 block of Scottsdale Circle came in to police late Wednesday night, just prior to midnight Thursday morning, according to Lt. Dan Truex with the Lexington Police Department. Responding police officers found two homes and one vehicle with damage from bullets but they didn’t find anyone injured.

The homes and vehicle were occupied during the shooting, according to Truex.

Shortly afterwards, a minor showed up to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, Truex said. No other details about the minor’s injuries have been released and police don’t know if the shooting victim was connected to the shooting on Scottsdale Circle.

No suspect information has been provided. Police are investigating.
