Updated: Juvenile charged in connection to robbery at Lexington business

Lexington police have charged a juvenile in connection to a robbery that took place at a business on Sunday afternoon.

According to Lt. Jeremiah Davis with the Lexington Police Department, officers were called to a business at the 500 block of W 6th St. on Sunday around 3 p.m. in reference to a robbery involving a firearm.

He stated officers were able to take the suspect into custody upon arrival. The suspect was charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment, theft of a firearm, and a minor in possession of a firearm, according to police.

Davis stated the investigation is still ongoing. Police were not able to release information regarding what was stolen, or if anyone sustained any injuries in the incident.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated after West Sixth Brewing clarified that the robbery did not occur at the brewery. Police were called to West Sixth Brewing because it was the largest location nearby.
