10 Fayette County school buses vandalized, officials say. Police are investigating
Ten Fayette County Public Schools buses were vandalized and damaged overnight, according to a Fayette County Public Schools spokesperson.
The incident took place sometime during the overnight hours between Monday and Tuesday at the Liberty Road bus garage, according to Lisa Deffendall, a spokesperson for the school district. Repairs to fix the damage were underway Tuesday morning.
“The incident did not impact our ability to provide bus services for students this morning,” Deffendall said.
It’s unknown who was responsible for the damage. Deffendall confirmed Fayette County Public Schools Police are investigating the matter but said no suspects have been named.
