Lexington police investigating shooting at McDonald’s

Lexington police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to a hospital Thursday afternoon.

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m. in the 2200 block of Elkhorn Drive, according to Lt. Samantha Moore with Lexington police. The Herald-Leader’s news-reporting partner, WKYT, reported the shooting happened at a McDonald’s.

Moore wouldn’t confirm the concise location of the shooting.

When officers arrived they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man’s injuries were described as life-threatening, according to Moore.

All parties involved in the shooting have been accounted for, according to Moore. She didn’t confirm if any arrests were made.
