Deputy jailer accused of videoing sex acts by female inmates
A Boone County deputy jailer was arrested after the sheriff says he befriended female inmates and then encouraged them to perform sex acts for him to see.
In at least two instances, he is accused of videotaping the activity.
Trenton Westfall, 28, is accused of using phone calls and the jail’s internal text messaging system, “chirps,” to communicate with “multiple” women he befriended while he worked at the detention center, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.
“Westfall’s communications with the inmates became intimate and he requested they perform various sexual acts for him to see,” the post states. He used a cell phone to record the activity he requested at least twice, the sheriff’s office said.
He allegedly gave the women “preferential treatment” in exchange.
Westfall is charged with two counts of video voyeurism, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and four counts of first-degree official misconduct.
He was being held in the Boone County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office said the jail immediately asked the sheriff’s office to investigate pursuant to the Prison Rape Elimination Act after learning of the allegations.
