Police: Armed man fled scene of deadly shooting in Central Kentucky

Frankfort police are looking for an armed and dangerous man who allegedly killed another man in a deadly shooting Sunday, the department announced Monday.

The shooting happened at Hickory Mills Manor apartment complex on Marlowe Court in Frankfort just before 11:30 p.m., according to police. Thomas Wideman, 50, was found dead on scene. Simeyon Johnson, 36, was last seen fleeing the scene with a gun, police allege. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Later Monday police said a warrant for murder had been issued for Johnson. He still has not been located as of Monday afternoon.

Police said Johnson also has two warrants out for his arrest in Franklin County.

Police say Johnson is 5-feet-10-inches tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Frankfort police at (502) 875-8582.
