Shooting victims found in wooded area, flown to University of Kentucky hospital

Two people were seriously injured in a shooting in Corbin Tuesday, according to police.

The victims were found with gunshot wounds in a wooded area near the intersection of Scuffletown and Fifth Street roads, according to Corbin police Det. Robbie Hodge. A vehicle was found in a ditch approximately 100 feet away from where the victims were found.

Both victims were flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital for treatment. The victims were in critical condition, according to Hodge.

No information about a suspect or the shooting was provided. It was still an ongoing investigation Wednesday, police said.
