One injured after Friday night shooting in Lexington

One person was taken to a hospital after a shooting was reported near Lexington Cemetery Friday night.

Police were called to the 800 block of Charles Avenue just after 6 p.m. in response to a report of shots fired with a possible victim, said Lexington police Lt. Meredith Taylor.

Police said in a social media post that they found a male victim outside in critical condition. He was taken to a local hospital.

Police did not provide any information about a suspect.
