A Lexington man was arrested Friday in connection with a shooting earlier this week that left a woman with life-threatening injuries and a man hurt as well.

Mark Conley, 28, has been charged in connection with the shooting on Winchester Road early Sunday, the Lexington Police Department said in a news release Friday night.

Police said they found the woman who had been shot when they were called to the 900 block of Winchester at 2:34 a.m. The man who had been shot showed up at a local hospital while police were still at the scene, police said in the release.

Detectives were able to identify Conley as the suspect and find him with the help of traffic cameras, Flock license plate readers and the Real-Time Intelligence Center, police said in the release.

Conley is charged with first-degree assault, police said. The jail website indicates that he was also wanted in Ohio on a charge of fentanyl possession and in Texas on a charge of assaulting a security officer.

Conley was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center, where he was being held on $50,000 bond, according to the jail website.
