Juvenile injured in shooting at Lexington motel, police say
A juvenile was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound after being shot at the Sportsman Motel on Winchester Road Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lexington Police Department.
The juvenile’s injuries were not thought to be life-threatening, said Lexington police Lt. Dillan Taylor.
Taylor said police were called to the scene at 3:03 p.m. regarding the shooting.
He said police did not have a suspect in custody. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation, Taylor said as of about 5 p.m.
The victim’s age was not released.
