Two arrested in connection to death of 20-month-old baby, Lexington police say
Two people were arrested Saturday after investigators with the Lexington Police Department found a dead 20-month-old infant, according to police.
Around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Centre Parkway for an unresponsive infant, who was pronounced dead by the Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn.
The baby boy was identified as Joseph Bowen. Ginn said Bowen’s manner and cause of death were undetermined, pending autopsy.
Brianna Johnson, 27, and Kyle Guindon, 22, were arrested, according to police. Their relationship to the child was not disclosed by police.
Johnson was charged with first-degree criminal abuse.
Guindon was charged with first-degree assault (domestic violence) and first-degree criminal abuse.
Both are being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
Jail records show the disposition of Guindon’s charges are related to “blunt force.”
