Man, woman found dead with gunshot wounds inside vehicle in Ky. hospital parking lot
Two people were found dead with gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a southeastern Kentucky hospital late Friday.
The man and woman were found in the parking lot of Baptist Health Corbin at about 11:30 p.m. after police were called regarding the vehicle, according to the Corbin Police Department.
They were pronounced dead by medical staff.
“This incident is believed to have occurred inside a vehicle in the parking lot of the hospital,” police said in a Facebook post. “No patrons of the hospital or staff were in immediate danger and this event appears to have been isolated.”
The names of those who died were not immediately released, pending notification of next of kin, Corbin police said.
The bodies were sent to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
