Police: Man seriously injured in Lexington shooting, suspect still on the loose

A shooting in Lexington Thursday morning left a man seriously injured, according to the Lexington Police Department.

The shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. in the area of Georgetown Street and Glen Arvin Avenue. Lexington police Lt. Dan Truex said first-responding officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Truex.

Police are still searching for the suspect and an investigation is ongoing.
