Central KY woman killed in pedestrian accident on Winchester Road, coroner says

The Fayette County coroner identified a pedestrian killed Saturday after she was struck by a vehicle on Winchester Road.

The accident occurred around 9:30 p.m., Lexington police said. September Melroy, 37, of Lexington, was struck by a car near the 1100 block of Winchester Road.

Melroy died at 10:15 p.m. from multiple blunt force trauma injuries, according to Fayette coroner Gary Ginn. Her death was ruled an accident.
