Two shot inside vehicle in Richmond Monday morning
Two people showed up at a hospital Monday morning after being shot inside a vehicle in Madison County, police say.
The victims told police they were on Evansdale Avenue in Richmond when “an individual approached their vehicle and made demands, then fired several shots,” according to a news release from the Richmond Police Department.
Police said they responded to the medical facility where the victims were being treated just after 6 a.m.
The victims were in surgery later Monday morning, and the extent of their injuries was not known, a department spokesperson said.
Police said they did not have a suspect and were at the scene gathering statements and evidence.
