An 18-year-old was arrested after a robbery in which shots were fired inside a Lexington convenience store Friday afternoon.

Aubrion Johnson came into the Mini Mart on the 1400 block of Anniston Drive and got into a fight with the clerk, then fired shots, the Lexington Police Department said in a news release.

No one was hurt by the gunfire, but the clerk was treated for injuries sustained during the incident, police said. The injuries were not life-threatening.

Police were called to scene at 2:55 p.m. and arrested Johnson, charging him with first-degree robbery, first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree escape, first-degree fleeing or evading police, second-degree assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

He was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.
