Two inmates remain on the loose after escaping from Blackburn Correctional Complex in Lexington Sunday, according to Kentucky State Police.

Adam Ball, 38; and Bradley Cornwell, 40, allegedly fled the prison together in a water truck, according to KSP. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said they were last seen at the Shell gas station on Ironworks Pike near the Kentucky Horse Park, possibly headed to Scott County.

Ball is from Russell Springs and was wearing a full-body khaki jumpsuit with a khaki hat at the time of his escape, according to KSP. Cornwell is from Georgetown and was wearing a white t-shirt, gray sweatpants, white shoes and a khaki hat.

The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said Ball’s last known address is in Cynthiana, while Cornwell’s last known address is in Louisville.

Police encourage residents not to approach the inmates if they see them, and instead call 911. Anyone with information about the inmates’ whereabouts could also call KSP post 12 at 502-227-2221.

Ball was serving a 14-year prison sentence for charges of complicity theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, fleeing/evading police, wanton endangerment and criminal mischief, according to the Kentucky Department of Corrections. He began his sentence in June.

Cornwell was serving a 10-year prison sentence for charges of possession of a controlled substance, bail jumping, fleeing/evading police, criminal mischief and wanton endangerment, according to the Kentucky DOC. He began his sentence in April.
