Lexington police investigate deadly Saturday shooting on Chinoe Road

A Michigan man died Sunday morning as the result of a shooting on Chinoe Road in Lexington, according to police.

Officers with the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to the 1000 block of Chinoe Road around 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

Police found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died shortly after, according to police.

The Fayette County Coroner identified the man as 35-year-old Gregory Williams, of Warren, Michigan.

Police did not release any details about what led up to the shooting or any suspect information.
