The Lexington Police Department detained a woman who escaped while being guarded at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

Paige Aich, 37, was being held under guard at the hospital after being arrested on charges of second-degree robbery, second-degree fleeing or evading police and outstanding warrants, the police department said last week.

She was reported as having escaped on Dec. 15, and taken back into custody on Dec. 18, according to police.

Court records indicate a warrant for Aich’s arrest was issued in Fayette County in August, after she failed to appear on a charge of heroin possession. She was indicted the following month on a methamphetamine possession charge, court records state.
