A Kentucky man has been charged with vehicular homicide and aggravated DUI after police say he was involved in a crash that left a moped driver dead.

The crash happened around 4:13 p.m. Sunday in Campbellsville. Kentucky State Police said 78-year-old Howard Poling was attempting to cross Meader Street in a Ford Expedition when he collided with 55-year-old Johnny Dickens, of Campbellsville.

Dickens was declared dead on scene by the Taylor County coroner, according to KSP. Poling was not injured.

Along with the vehicular homicide and aggravated DUI charges, Poling also faces counts of having an open alcohol beverage container in a motor vehicle and failing to produce an insurance card, according to court records. His bond has been set at $100,000.

KSP is investigating the collision.
