Pulaski County man arrested, allegedly tells neighbors he killed wife, sheriff says

A Eubank man was arrested shortly after authorities say he told neighbors he killed his wife.

Ralph Letner, 61, was arrested in the fatal shooting and faces charges of murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Pulaski County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene Sunday, April 20, after Letner went to a neighbor’s home and allegedly said he killed his wife.

Police found Kimberly Letner, 50, Ralph Letner’s wife, unresponsive from an apparent gunshot wound at their home, according to a press release.

Authorities did not release details about what led up to the shooting.

Deputies and EMS attempted to revive Kimberly Letner on the scene, but she died.

Letner is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center and it’s not known if his bond has been set.

Detective Patterson is continuing the investigation. Sheriff Bobby Jones asks that if anyone has any information that may be helpful to the investigation to contact the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office at 606-678-5145 or at the tip line at 606-679-8477.
