UofL doctor charged with multiple counts of child pornography
A University of Louisville doctor is facing multiple child pornography charges after authorities found dozens of pornographic photos and videos of children on his phone, according to court records.d
Bradford Marsili, 35 of Baltimore, is charged with 20 counts of possessing matter of a sex performance by a minor and 10 counts of distribution of obscene matter, according to court records. UofL spokesperson John Karman said Marsili was immediately placed on leave when the university found out about the charges Friday.
“The university is fully cooperating with law enforcement in this matter,” Karman said in a statement.
Marsili’s medical license was suspended while the case goes through the judicial process, according to a news release. The Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure will schedule a meeting after Marsili’s case is resolved to determine the next steps.
Court records say authorities received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about Marsili’s activity. Authorities searched his phone through a search warrant and found 68 images and videos of child pornography.
Ten of the images were distributed on social media, according to court records. Marsili was in possession of the files between June 22, 2024, and Jan. 1, 2025.
Marsili was arrested Friday at 225 Abraham Flexner Way, the same address as the Abraham Flexner Outpatient Center, a UofL Health location. Court records say Marsili is being held on a $75,000 bond.
His next scheduled court appearance is May 19 for a preliminary hearing, according to court records.
