Water search near Fayette-Scott county line has been discontinued

Crews from the Lexington Fire Department searched a pond near the Fayette-Scott County line Friday afternoon, but it is unclear what they were searching for.

Dive crews use sonar to search around the banks of a pond, but nothing was found and the search was discontinued, according to the fire department.

It is unclear what the crews were looking for.

The search near Mount Horeb Pike involved agencies from both Fayette and Scott counties, WKYT reported.

Law enforcement agencies in Fayette and Scott County said they had no information.
