Two men injured in Lexington attack that involved machete. Suspect on the run

Two men were injured in an attack that involved a machete early Tuesday in Lexington.

The assault happened around 4:30 a.m. on Saint Teresa Drive. Lexington police Lt. Steven Wiggins said one victim was found on Saint Teresa Drive, and the other fled to Codell Drive.

The victims, both men, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Wiggins said. One of the men was injured by the machete, and the other suffered a minor head injury.

Police are still searching for the suspect and are asking the public for tips. Lexington police can be reached by phone at 859-258-3600.
