Man charged with murder in Nicholasville Road shooting in Lexington

A man was charged Thursday in a May homicide on Nicholasville Road in Lexington.

Nathaniel Danzy, 28, was charged with killing 25-year-old Zemondric Hall around 5:20 p.m. May 28 in the 3800 block of Nicholasville Road, near Shillito Park.

Danzy is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

Danzy had other run-ins with the law last month before his murder arrest.

On May 30, just two days after Hall was killed, Danzy was charged with trafficking marijuana. He was arrested for the charge on June 16, the same day he was charged with fleeing police and driving about 120 mph on Interstate 64, driving without a license and wanton endangerment.

Danzy posted bond for those charges on June 17.
