Man charged with DUI in fatal crash on Man O’ War Boulevard in Lexington

A man was charged with a DUI after a fatal crash Sunday afternoon in Lexington left a woman dead, according to the Lexington Police Department.

The crash happened around 5:30 p.m. near of Man o’ War Boulevard and Belleau Wood Drive. Police said the woman, identified by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office as 75-year-old Linda Johnson, was taken to a local hospital, was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Johnson’s cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy, which is scheduled for Tuesday, according to the coroner’s office.

Stephen Barber, 65, was arrested at the scene of the crash and charged with DUI, police said. He is not listed in the Fayette County Detention Center inmate log.
