KY man faces 19 counts of attempted murder, accused of setting apartment on fire

A Kentucky man faces 19 counts of attempted murder after police say he intentionally set fire to an apartment building, according to the Harrodsburg Police Department.

The fire happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday at Parkview Guesthouse in Harrodsburg. First responders quickly extinguished a fire inside one of the apartments, and no one was injured.

Investigators said they soon determined Ryan Tinney, 44, set the fire. In addition to attempted murder, he was charged with one count of second-degree arson.

Tinney is being held in the Jessamine County Detention Center, according to jail records. Police said an investigation is ongoing and more charges are pending.

No other details were immediately available Thursday afternoon.
