A Somerset man is charged with murder for allegedly shooting and killing a 39-year-old man on Dogwood Lane on Oct. 8, 2025.

A Somerset man is charged with murder after police say he shot and killed a man early Wednesday, according to the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened around 12:35 a.m. at a home on Dogwood Lane in Somerset. The sheriff’s office said James Gleason, 40, shot Adam Roark, 39, multiple times.

Roark’s wife called 911, and deputies found her applying pressure to his gunshot wounds in the driveway when they arrived. The sheriff’s office said Somerset/Pulaski County EMS personnel attempted life-saving measures, but Roark was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies found Gleason outside his home, and he was arrested. The sheriff’s office said he is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Gleason is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $1 million bond, according to the sheriff’s office. His first court appearance is scheduled for Friday in Pulaski District Court.
