Two people were cited Monday for jumping off Clays Ferry Bridge with a parachute, according to the Lexington Police Department.

Officers were dispatched just after 3 p.m. to the 9000 block of Old Richmond Road after witnesses reported seeing two people parachuting from the bridge. Police said the jumpers were gone when officers arrived at the scene, but they were later found at a hospital.

One of the jumpers was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The jumpers were cited for second-degree criminal trespassing. Police did not release their identities.
