The Lexington Police Department is investigating after authorities found human remains near a city park Oct. 25.

Officers responded to the 3100 block of Leestown Road around 1 p.m. Saturday after they were alerted to the remains, LEX 18 reported.

Once police arrived to the scene near Masterson Station Park, they confirmed the remains to be human.
