A woman is charged with murder in the death of a man who died of an overdose in Laurel County earlier this year.

Courtney Boone, 37, of East Bernstadt, is accused of providing Sheldon Lockaby, 26, with “a fatal dose of fentanyl through the form of methamphetamine in a pipe,” on July 13, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Boone was arrested on Ky. 192 in London Monday and charged with murder.

“The Laurel County Coroner’s Office has verified the fatal dose of fentanyl,” the sheriff’s office said.

Boone was being held in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
