A Rockcastle County teen who was missing for more than two months was found safe Friday, and a Maryland man was charged with kidnapping in her disappearance.

Wynter Wagoner, 13, was reported missing in mid-October and had not been seen since, according to local law enforcement.

On Saturday, police in Montgomery County, Maryland, reported they found her safe at a home in Silver Spring. Christian Alexander Delgado, 37, was inside the home, too, and was arrested without incident.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was called around 6 p.m. Friday with a tip that Wynter may be in the area.

Local police and officers with the U.S. Marshals Service found Wynter and Delgado inside the home.

Wynter was taken to a hospital. Delgado was charged with kidnapping and will be extradited back to Kentucky.

The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office has not released any details about the circumstances of Wynter’s disappearance.

“Thanks to all that assisted in this wonderful ending,” the sheriff’s office wrote in a Facebook post.

Silver Spring is a suburb about 6 miles north of Washington, D.C.
