Police shoot, kill man while responding to call in Frankfort. KSP investigating

Police shot and killed a man Saturday evening in Frankfort while responding to a “shots fired” call, according to Kentucky State Police.

Officers with the Frankfort Police Department and Franklin County Sheriff’s Office responded around 5:50 p.m. Saturday to the call on Ridgeview Drive.

When officers arrived, Bryan Radford, 56, entered the home where they were called and came back out with a gun, according to KSP.

Officers shot Radford, and the Hopkinsville man died at the scene.

KSP did not release additional details about the shooting, including if the officers with the local police department or sheriff’s office fired shots.

No officers were injured.

KSP investigates all shootings involving police officers in Kentucky. The investigation is ongoing.
