A former horse farmworker pleaded guilty to wire fraud after she was found to be stealing money from her employers in Paris, Kentucky.

Christina Lynch agreed to a plea deal Feb. 5, after she spent hundreds of thousands of dollars over seven years while bookkeeping at a horse farm.

Between 2017 and 2024, Lynch stole more than $600,000 from her employer, who was unidentified in federal court documents.

Lynch used the business’s credit card to buy clothes and other items from Amazon, Nordstrom, Instacart and Lululemon, totaling $691,257.89, according to the plea agreement. Prosecutors said Lynch also misused the business credit card to pay for airline tickets and fund a personal country club membership.

When it came time to pay the business credit card’s balance, Lynch sent payments from the farm’s bank account to the credit card account under the guise that the expenses were related to the farm.

Lynch could face a maximum of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
